DeWhen you purchase a beat online, the WAV or Mp3 file is considered a "2-Track" (having one audio file for the beat). The Track outs/stems are the individual instruments of the beat. Example: you have one audio file for the kick, another audio file for the keys, another file for your vocals etc.

As an engineer I do recommend you get the stems. It makes it possible to edit each individual element without affecting the instrumental as a whole. Everyones voice is different, being able to mix your vocal and have control over all the instruments will allow your vocal to sit better within the song. Overall, it can help create a better product for your fan base to listen to.

After purchase and delivery of files, Dawson will review everything submitted. Once the files are approved and everything is good to go we will then start the mix. We try our best to start projects right away and deliver them within 5-7 days.

After reviewing and approving all files sent. We try our best to deliver within 3-5 days. Some days we are busier than others but no later than 7 days.

Anything beyond the packaged purchased will be charged at an hourly rate.

The files sent to me will be the files I mix. If you need to re- record parts of the song after delivery of the mix, please reach out to me as I will assess how much work needs to be done and we can go from there. If it’s only a small part eg, one or two lines in the verse, I may only charge this as a revision. If it is multiple verses or a major part within the song I may have to charge you for a whole new mix. That being said, please be sure that the files you send me are the ones you are sold on. Please understand that when I mix I commonly make decisions based off what I am given and how they relate to each other. By giving me new records, which may be recorded on a new day, in a different room, with a new mic pre, a new mic etc etc, these files are COMPLETELY different than the original files you sent me. I simply cant slap a “preset” on and expect it to fit the same. All and all we try our best to be fair and understanding. If you do run into this problem please reach out to us. Mastering is the final stage of audio production. It typically deals with overall loudness, dynamics, frequency content, creating consistency across the album, and preparing it for distribution. We include Mastering for streaming services as a part of all of our Mix packages.
